You’ve Got Questions / We’ve Got Answers
Last update: July 13th - Stop by our house on the way out of town on Sunday, November 3rd!
*We’ll try to keep this updated as we finalize details during planning.
What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive at the venue around 4:30pm to give yourself enough time to park and get seated before our 5:00pm ceremony.
Is there a dress code?
Cocktail attire.
Are kids invited?
If you have kids under the age of 18, they are invited! There will likely be a bunch of kids present but we aren’t establishing a formal system for supervision. Please note that the E.O.U.V. campus has an outdoor playground and a decorative pond, as well as outdoor space.
Kid friendly meal options provided upon request, please note it in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
Is there parking at the E.O.U.V. Club?
There sure is. There’s a giant parking lot and you can walk down grass or paved walkways to the space for the ceremony and reception.
Now that you mention it, what does E.O.U.V. Club stand for?
Wow, we’re so glad you asked. It’s an acronym this German name: Erster Österreichischer Unterstützungs Verein, or The First Austrian Mutual Aid Society.
It was founded in 1889 to establish communal support in Ohio to Austrian immigrants from the southern Gottschee region. This allowed families to immigrate with social and financial support for things like doctor visits and holiday celebrations. The club moved into this location in 1982.
This is riveting. Can I learn more about this fascinating history at your wedding?
You can! There’s a small museum in the reception building on the second floor, it will be open to view during cocktail hour.
